We build competitive, race-proven engines for the MGB.  Specialising in the Rover V8 and 1800 B Series engines commonly run in the MGB and other variants. Other engine projects can be undertaken on request.

Rover V8 Engine: Flat-Plane & Standard Crankshaft

Our engine development program has seen huge success in the MG Car Club’s BCV8 Championship, with a specially designed flat-plane Rover V8 engine.  Drivers in the series have been regular podium visitors with TN Racing Engines. Ollie Neaves, Rob Spencer and Neil Fowler have all been competitive in the 2016-17 seasons.

MGB B Series Engines: FIA 1800

Most recently we developed a 1800 B Series power unit to compete in the Spa 6 hours for an FIA Appendix K Classic MGB.  By designing our own specification of crankshaft for the 1800 MGB engine we have been able to achieve field-leading power outputs from our engines.

Feel free to contact us for more information about our engine services.

Component Superfinishing

The process of superfinishing makes minute changes to the surface of metals, reducing friction and increasing reliability.  Superfinishing can be carried out on any metal component, and is recommended on all engine, gearbox and drivetrain internals. Using this process we have seen a notable increase in reliability and performance from our engines.

Custom Component Development

Drawing on many years of experience in the Classic racing circuit, we can develop and design engine components for your project.

Race Proven

Our reliable, high power engines are used competitively by drivers in the Equipe GTS, MGCC BCV8, MG Cup and more Classic race series’.
